In this blog I will show you how to get the Ultimate Smokey Eye and what to pair it with
Are you guilty of spending way too much money on all the latest makeup yet not having a clue what to do with any of it when you get home?
Well, let me show you how easy it can be with just a few trusty products and very little time.
Eyes:
Start on eyes first due to messiness from the powder dropping down onto the face
Draw a rough line with a long lasting eye pencil above and below eye
Smudge with a small fluffy brush that is slightly dense to achieve "smoke" effect
Dab on dark brown with wide eyeshadow brush
Use a blending brush to gently buff the edges so they soften slightly
Keep dabbing on colour to push into place on top of eyelid and below
Go in with a smaller brush and darker brown/black to define the original lines
Use a small brush and dab on some highlighter under brow and on inner part of eye
Use a long lasting volumising mascara and comb through the top and bottom lashes
Dot a concealer that is slightly lighter than your skin tone under the eye
Blend with fingers or concealer brush so it absorbs into the skin smoothly
Brows:
Use a brow pencil to define brow by filling in any gaps to make them look thicker
Draw out to a thin point at the edge where it is diagonal to the corner of the eye
Comb through with eyebrow comb to help distribute and smooth out product
Finish brows with a brow gel to keep them in place and to add a polished finish
Skin:
Use a foundation to achieve a flawless base and for any colour correction
Use a matte bronzer on the contours of the face: Under cheekbones, temples, sides of nose and a little on edges of forehead and under jawline (otherwise known as contouring) less is more here because remember, this is all about the eyes
Add a touch of blush on the apples of the cheeks, dabbing excess on to hand/tissue
Finish face with some highlighter just above cheekbones, up to temples, down bridge of nose and my favourite trick, above the Cupid's Bow on the upper lip
Lips:
Define the shape with a pencil that is slightly darker than your natural colour, over lips
Apply favourite nude lipstick that is slightly lighter than the pencil used
Blend in to each other by tapping with middle finger, gives a blurred natural finish that looks plump and enhanced, just so.
This compliments the eyes perfectly because they are heavy and everything else comes together nicely with a flawless yet sexy finish that isn't too dramatic and over the top.
Et voila! Your ultimate Smokey Eye and sultry makeup look is complete!
What are you waiting for, go and show it off to the world...
